Job Summary

Senior Backend Engineer at Aircall responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and operating business-critical features on top of voice, with AWS-based, scalable back-end services. Key Responsibilities

•Participate in requirements analysis to help with providing the right technical and business solutions for our customers
•Contribute to design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of key modules
•Write clean, scalable code and test and deploy applications and systems
•Revise, update, refactor, and debug code
•Be part of an engineering organization delivering high quality, secure voice solutions to Aircall clients
•Involvement in product and platform performance optimization and live site monitoring
•Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues and ensure continuous system reliability
•Mentor team members

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience in back-end development in a large-scale environment, using a typed language (TypeScript) with a focus on security, scalability, availability, and performance
•extensive experience with AWS in production and ability to design for, deploy on, and optimize AWS services
•ability to discuss most AWS offerings, their use cases, and explain concepts to junior engineers
•experience with serverless services using infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform)
•strong focus on security in all development work
•experience with GraphQL is a huge plus
