Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop high quality detailed I&C design packages and provide engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs.
  • •Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables including cost-estimating bills of material and labor-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and Title II design deliverables (calculations and analyses).
  • •Create construction specifications and drawings, equipment specifications, conduit/cable schedules, one-line diagrams, wiring/connection/schematic diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams.
  • •Develop control cabinet assembly drawings, system diagrams, and control logic for batch and continuous processes, including process control system narratives and input to P&IDs.
  • •Perform walkdowns in existing plant facilities and provide field troubleshooting and technical assessments to support corrective design actions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125,718 - 213,847

Key Requirements

  • •ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 15–20 years of experience, or an MS with 14–18 years of experience plus more than 5 years of instrumentation and controls design experience.
  • •Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance (DOE Q clearance highly desired but not required to start).
  • •Demonstrated experience using the National Electrical Code, UL508A, and relevant ISA standards for instrumentation and controls system design.
  • •Experience designing control cabinets, wiring/instrument loop diagrams, and control logic for analog instrumentation, distributed digital control systems, and PLC/HMI environments.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain required DOE clearance and complete required pre-employment drug screen and medical examinations.
