Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the EPP team in field and office work across the Mid-Atlantic region offices.
  • •Become familiar with field survey equipment, data forms, and data collection/reporting tools.
  • •Assist ecological teams with stream, wetland, wildlife habitat assessments, and other ecological field surveys.
  • •Write and develop field data sheets and reports, including creating GIS-based field maps and report mapping.
  • •Assist with coordination of governmental agencies regarding ecological survey protocols, reporting standards, and endangered/threatened species coordination; support desktop review for environmental impact assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed at least two years of study at a college or university in a relevant degree program (e.g., Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Studies, GIS, or related).
  • •Be able to commute to the office location at least 3 days per week.
  • •Be available to travel to job sites when requested.
  • •Interns will need a valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • •Preferred: 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification, strong written/verbal communication, and data analysis/document preparation experience using Microsoft Excel/Word and Adobe Acrobat.
