Key Responsibilities

  • •Support GMNS in identifying new product/service changes and material business changes that require adherence to relevant American Express policies and standards.
  • •Support the creation and execution of a GMNS change-risk framework to categorize, risk-assess, and govern changes under appropriate policies and standards.
  • •Aid implementation of risk assessment approaches for strategic, operational, and compliance risks from BAU, products, and emerging risks (e.g., digital transformation).
  • •Continuously enhance change risk assessment frameworks, including methodology, governance standards, risk taxonomy, and decision criteria.
  • •Partner across business units to identify emerging risks early, track mitigation actions, and report portfolio health and key risks to senior leadership.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 89,250 - 150,250 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of operational risk management experience (within Risk and/or Internal Audit) covering the operational risk management lifecycle.
  • •Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • •Experience with process governance aligned with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards.
  • •Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
  • •Experience performing risk assessment activities such as identifying operational risks, facilitating risk assessments/testing, and reviewing control monitoring.
