Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, route, terminate, and label copper and fiber optic cabling and associated components (patch panels, wall outlets, faceplates, cabinets/racks).
  • •Install and mount network equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points), perform physical setup/basic configuration, and organize patch cords.
  • •Conduct site surveys and support Wi‑Fi/LAN deployment by assessing routes, equipment locations, wireless coverage requirements, and constraints.
  • •Test and commission cabling by running certification/verification, testing copper and fiber links, troubleshooting faults, and generating reports/documentation.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and support IMAC activities, respond to service requests, replace defective network components, and coordinate schedules/resources with stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Install, route, terminate, and label copper and fiber optic cabling in compliance with industry standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
  • •Perform Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling and use copper and fiber optic termination techniques.
  • •Have basic TCP/IP networking knowledge, including network troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • •Use cable certification and verification/testing tools to certify copper and fiber optic links.
  • •Read technical drawings and network layouts and safely use hand and power tools.
