Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations on board ships while alongside or within the Technical Document Package (TDP) to support defect resolution.
  • •Liaise with OEMs, service providers, and ship staff; develop job instructions and statements of work (SOW) for defect remediation.
  • •Identify issues within the TDP and propose improvement/corrections.
  • •Provide technical advice so marine systems and equipment are correctly operated or maintained, including support for OCCAP and VA programs.
  • •Support engineering and supportability activities including engineering changes, deviations/waivers or surveys, alternate part assessment, and obsolescence assessment.

Key Requirements

  • •Canadian Red Seal (Mechanical, Millwright or Power Engineering) or Military QL5 certification in marine engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 5 years of demonstrated technical professional experience in the marine/offshore sector within the last 10 years.
  • •Strong working knowledge of the maintenance, operation, design and/or troubleshooting of a wide range of marine systems.
  • •Direct/indirect ability to obtain authorization for access to controlled hardware, software, technology, or technical data (Canadian Export Control List / ITAR / EAR).
  • •Fluent English with strong oral and written communication skills.
