Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply research-level ideas from AI and robotics literature to production capabilities and infrastructure that ship on real robots.
  • •Build or improve the data engine, including front-end log review/labeling tools and back-end systems for data cleaning and evaluation benchmarks.
  • •Scale solutions using fleet data to improve pipelines and systems as robots gain experience.
  • •Deploy at least one new capability or infrastructure improvement to robots at customer sites before the residency ends.
  • •Own projects end-to-end during the residency term, shipping tested, maintainable code with direct impact on deployed robotic systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent); graduate students in ML or robotics are strongly preferred.
  • •Proficiency with large Python codebases, experience writing tests, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
  • •Demonstrated ability to prototype independently and rapidly via a portfolio of projects, research, or open-source work.
  • •Experience training large-scale ML models (visual foundation models, LLMs, generative models) or publishing at top ML conferences.
