Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide corporate secretarial leadership for one or more entities, organizing board meetings and advising on board authority and corporate governance.
  • •Assess shareholder issues and manage the interface between the entity, the parent organization, and affiliated companies.
  • •Support downstream client contracting and purchasing by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and commercial arrangements, including product supply and offtake agreements.
  • •Coordinate affiliate legal reporting by consolidating matter updates and synthesizing key issues for senior-management review.
  • •Assess internal policy compliance, review and resolve claims, allocate external counsel resources, and deliver training to personnel on legal matters.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized program; Juris Doctorate / Master of Laws or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • •Current admission to general practice before the highest court of the state or country of which you are a citizen or resident.
  • •Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience, including 6+ years with a strong law firm, large corporation, or similarly sophisticated organization.
  • •Relevant experience with commercial contracts and general corporate matters, particularly in downstream chemicals and retail sectors.
  • •Excellent negotiation and communication skills, plus leadership and mentorship experience.
