Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise a team to safely conduct repair or maintenance activities for equipment, vehicles, or machinery in line with agreed performance standards and the operating master schedule.
  • •Prioritize safety, health, and environment by leading by example, fostering a safety-first culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative/statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • •Ensure maintenance planning exists for every piece of equipment, manage maintenance schedules to minimize interruption, and execute maintenance/repairs according to standards and procedures.
  • •Validate and reconcile daily data requirements, close out work orders, and capture accurately coded and reported information within the required timeframe.
  • •Participate in RCAs for non-compliance and defect elimination, manage contractor performance against defined KPIs, and support sustainability and asset integrity activities.

Key Requirements

  • •5 years of relevant experience in an operational engineering mining environment.
  • •Relevant engineering qualification on NQF5 (Grade 12/N3 Technical) and an Occupational Red Seal Certificate in Mechanical (or relevant engineering discipline).
  • •Knowledge of engineering and maintenance processes within the scope of the role.
  • •Experience with risk management techniques and critical controls, plus documentation, sign-off, and approval processes.
  • •Ability to provide budget management and cost control, and to apply leadership tools to implement a high-performance, purpose-led culture.
