Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver newly hatched chicks from hatchery to farms and return empty carriers to hatchery; ensure timely delivery and proper placement in growers’ houses.
  • •Load trucks at hatchery, deliver chicks to farms, and wash chick carriers after return to hatchery.
  • •Possess ability to drive large trucks in all types of weather and use wheel chaining if needed.
  • •Operate a manual CMV and perform basic mechanical tasks as needed while in transit.
  • •Collaborate with other drivers and Hatchery staff; may perform other Hatchery related jobs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma. good reading, writing and math skills required; must have good communication skills, be detail oriented and self motivated.
  • •Must have a valid CDL Class A license, a good driving record, a drug-free record and must pass a DOT physical.
  • •Vision correctable to 20/20.
  • •Must be able to drive large trucks in all types of weather and have the ability to chain wheels, if needed.
  • •Must be able to lift/push 100+ lbs.
