Key Responsibilities

  • •Configure and maintain the SIEM system, including setting it up to collect/analyze security event data and manage security rules for threat detection and response.
  • •Monitor SIEM alerts, investigate them, and take actions based on severity; manage incidents through response phases to closure and update tickets and incident reports.
  • •Develop and document incident response procedures and contribute to incident response efforts as required.
  • •Oversee collection, normalization, and storage of log data from multiple sources; align SIEM rules and alerts with security policies, compliance, and readiness for security audits.
  • •Conduct computer forensic investigations (e.g., running processes, network connections, disk imaging) and proactively report security loopholes, infringements, and vulnerabilities to the SOC manager.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computing or equivalent qualification, or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
  • •CEH certification (must-have).
  • •Ability to configure, maintain, and tune SIEM systems for security event collection, analysis, and detection.
  • •Experience investigating security events and managing incidents through all phases to closure.
  • •Knowledge of forensic techniques for reconstructing event histories from logs and systems.
