Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as Technical Authority/SME for HV and EHV power system studies across major industrial and energy projects.
  • •Lead and technically assure PSCAD electromagnetic transient studies, including switching transient analysis and insulation coordination.
  • •Perform and review studies for electrical systems operating at 69 kV and above, including HV/EHV substations and power networks.
  • •Develop and validate PSCAD models for complex electrical networks, equipment, and switching scenarios; perform and review insulation coordination including transient/temporary overvoltages and insulation requirements.
  • •Lead and review ETAP power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay/protection coordination, and arc-flash) and provide independent technical assurance across concept, FEED, detailed design, EPC/PMC execution, and commissioning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • •Minimum 20 years of relevant power systems engineering experience, preferably across major energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • •Demonstrable expert-level experience using PSCAD for electromagnetic transient studies.
  • •Extensive experience in switching transient and insulation coordination studies for 69 kV and above HV/EHV systems.
  • •Strong practical experience with ETAP for load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay/protection coordination and arc-flash studies.
