Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment used in road, site, or highway construction and paving, working safely and efficiently in a team environment. Follow OSHA/MSHA and company safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers, and communicate with others (including while backing using hand signals). Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation, perform minor maintenance, and assist with training and general labor as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
•Follow directions of Foreman for daily tasks and expectations for each project or job site.
•Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
•Complete minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.
•Maintain safety for yourself and coworkers, including using PPE and communicating with co-workers when backing.
