Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum supervision.
  • •Assess job requirements and select necessary tools and equipment to complete allocated work.
  • •Use the computerized maintenance system to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance.
  • •Ensure all maintenance is performed according to safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist with RCFA to identify solutions.
  • •Provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen to build maintenance and repair skills.

Key Requirements

  • •Higher secondary or diploma.
  • •Familiar with maintenance tools and knowledgeable in plant safety.
  • •Prior experience in a power or desalination plant, with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow; pneumatic & hydraulic valve actuation; CO2 fire protection; infrared gas detection).
  • •Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals.
  • •Knowledge/experience in electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices, working safely under time and technical pressure.
