Job Summary

Own end-to-end cost-of-revenue analysis to improve gross margin and unit economics across Vapi’s usage-based infrastructure. Track and analyze COGS, gross margin, and cloud/infrastructure/inference/telephony costs; build cost-per-minute and cost-per-call models; partner with Engineering on cost optimization; and forecast COGS in the operating plan while supporting variance analysis for leadership visibility.

Key Responsibilities

•Track and analyze COGS/cost of revenue and gross margin to understand current margin profiles
•Analyze cloud/infrastructure/inference/telephony costs to identify trends, outliers, and investigation areas
•Build cost-per-minute and cost-per-call models and unit economics linking infrastructure consumption to revenue activity
•Partner with Engineering to optimize infrastructure costs and lower unit costs using the models
•Forecast COGS in the operating plan and support gross margin reporting and variance analysis for leadership

Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 annually
