Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead mechanical and piping engineering packages for multidisciplinary mining and industrial projects across all phases, from conceptual studies through construction support.
  • •Apply codes and standards (ASME, API, TEMA) to develop safe, compliant, reliable mechanical and piping systems.
  • •Direct and review piping layouts, isometrics, bills of materials (BOMs), and fabrication deliverables to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  • •Evaluate and specify rotating equipment and oversee mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and related systems in collaboration with other engineering teams.
  • •Develop and maintain project standards and specifications, prepare RFQs and technical evaluation reports, and create inspection/test plans (ITPs) including hydrostatic testing and NDT requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial and/or mining environments in a senior capacity.
  • •Demonstrated leadership delivering EPCM projects in heavy industrial sectors, with exposure to complex brownfield and greenfield work.
  • •Hands-on mechanical design experience for chutes, hoppers, bins, conveyors, and associated structural elements in harsh operating environments.
  • •Comfort developing RFQs, material take-offs (MTOs), and leading technical bid evaluations and comparison reports.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and registration (or eligibility) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
