Job Summary

Senior Engineer responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining high voltage (HV) cable systems. Lead projects, ensure technical compliance with standards, collaborate across teams, conduct site assessments, and provide technical leadership for multi-discipline project delivery in HV cable networks.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, manufacture, and testing of HV cables for HVAC andHVDC projects; provide technical leadership on cable systems
•Lead the preparation, review, and validation of technical proposals and calculations (e.g., CYMCAP) for Transmission & Distribution projects
•System design responsibilities including bonding systems, earth continuity, and co-axial cables; perform short circuit and insulation sizing calculations
•Witness third-party cable activities such as testing, installation and transportation; strive towards Chartered Engineer status
•Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery of complex HV cable projects

Key Requirements

•Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline (preferably Electrical or Power) with 5-10 years of experience
•Cable design experience including CYMCAP, bonding, short-circuit calculations, continuous current calculations, EHV cable design and cable routing
•HV cable system design and related sizing/insulation specifications
•Project management experience and ability to lead multi-discipline projects
•Installation, testing and maintenance of HV cables and compliance with relevant standards
