Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design and development of highly performant distributed systems supporting Dell’s Data Protection portfolio; drive design and code reviews.
  • •Independently drive complex features end-to-end (concept through production support), defining service contracts, API standards, scalability strategies, resiliency mechanisms, and operational excellence practices.
  • •Partner with architects and product management to translate business objectives into technical solutions and engineering roadmaps, improving reliability, observability, automation, and developer productivity.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex production issues across multiple services, environments, and technology stacks using AI-assisted, agentic engineering and intelligent automation practices.
  • •Serve as a technical leader and owner; mentor and coach engineers to raise technical capability and delivery effectiveness.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 161,920 - 222,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in C/C++, Java, or Golang for control path and/or data path services.
  • •Proven experience building and operating large-scale control path or data path services and distributed systems, with technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching.
  • •Strong understanding of virtualized and containerized workloads, with debugging, performance optimization, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
  • •Expertise with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, OpenStack, and Kubernetes ecosystems, plus CI/CD pipelines and observability/DevOps practices.
  • •Ability to independently drive complex features with proficiency in AI-assisted engineering tools and modern AI-enabled software development practices.
