Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure insurance formalities are followed to minimize objections and delays by coordinating with insurance companies.
  • •Monitor and follow up on prior e-authorization and handle approvals for outpatient/inpatient services, prescriptions, and E-claim prescriptions.
  • •Follow up on high-cost approvals with insurance companies, physicians, and nursing, and update/document all insurance approval requests appropriately.
  • •Communicate approval status efficiently with patients, physicians, nursing, and pharmacy teams, and respond to inquiries and CRMs on time.
  • •Coordinate home delivery approvals and dispatch processing, including preparing medications and maintaining required logs per policy and Dubai Health Authority regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma in Pharmacy or related field.
  • •Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Outpatient Pharmacy field.
  • •Knowledge of insurance policies and protocols, including authorization requirements and prerequisites.
  • •Knowledge of insurance company coverage and exclusions.
  • •Knowledge of insurance and eRx authorization processes.
