Lead customer adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform by evaluating and designing Data and AI solutions. Consult on big data architectures, build and present reference architectures and demo applications, and run proof of concepts with integrations across cloud and third-party services. Provide escalated support for critical operational issues and evangelize Databricks-driven open-source projects through developer communities. Travel to customer sites up to 30% and partner closely with sales.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
•Consult on big data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects, including data science and machine learning work and cloud integrations.
•Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications for customers.
•Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
•Evangelize Databricks-driven open-source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) across developer communities through meetups, conferences, and webinars.

Key Requirements

•4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
•Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
•Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
•Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•Experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science/machine learning technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; SQL/OLTP/OLAP/DSS; pandas/scikit-learn/HPO).
