Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop measurement workflows for optical power, attenuation, wavelength, insertion loss/return loss, polarization extinction ratio, switching paths, thermal cycling, and electro-optical response.
  • •Analyze results using plots and basic statistical checks to identify measurement variation, setup sensitivity, and tool/method limitations.
  • •Automate data capture and analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or vendor software; maintain version-controlled scripts and test records.
  • •Support laboratory bring-up activities including equipment checkout, calibration checks, fixture readiness, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety practices.
  • •Convert experimental results into clear plots, test reports, standard work instructions, and a concise technical report summarizing performance, limitations, and next steps.

  • •Basic electrical/electronic lab skills, including oscilloscopes and power supplies, with safe equipment setup.
