Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Perform ultrasound imagery procedures according to department protocols, producing high-diagnostic-quality images using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
•Evaluate ultrasound images for quality and completeness; advise other staff when required and forward images to radiologists for review and reporting.
•Recognize anatomy and pathology to optimize scan protocols and liaise with radiologists to arrange further imaging or tests.
•Ensure safe and competent use of radiology equipment and patient aids; report incidents, equipment faults, and deterioration to senior staff.
•Maintain a clean working environment, comply with safety/infection control and quality assurance requirements, document interventions, and support clinical audit/quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

•2+ years post-graduate ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography, including 2+ years as a senior ultrasound radiographer.
•4+ years post-graduate ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography.
•Perform ultrasound imagery procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
•Evaluate ultrasound images for acceptable quality, appropriateness, and completeness; forward images to the radiologist for review and reporting.
•UAE National: 2+ years post-graduate experience in general radiography.
