Job Summary

Develop Player Bots for a AAA free-to-play, cross-platform action game, making AI that fights, traverses, loots, and teams up convincingly enough to feel human. Build and extend an in-house utility AI framework, optimize large numbers of concurrent agents, and create tooling for bot evaluation and playtest metrics. Partner with design to tune behavior and extend bots as automated test clients for feature and match-scale load testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop combat and humanization behaviors for player bots, including target prioritization, weapon/ability use, movement, disengagement, aim, reaction time, and error models.
•Create macro-level behaviors such as team cohesion, traversal, pacing, events, looting, and progression.
•Extend the utility AI framework with new behaviors, scoring, and tuning.
•Optimize bot performance using throttling, suspension, LOD, and support scalable agent populations.
•Extend bots as automated test clients, build evaluation tooling (debug visualization and playtest metrics), and partner with design to tune behavior through playtests.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of gameplay or game AI engineering on shipped action games.
•Strong C++ and Unreal Engine fluency, including AI controllers, navigation, and EQS.
•Utility AI or comparable decision-making architectures.
•Experience with AI in networked multiplayer (client/server authority, prediction, dedicated servers).
•Ability to create humanlike combat AI with aim/error models, reaction time, and believable movement.
