Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver evidence-based dental healthcare as an independent professional specialist with mastery of clinical dentistry.
  • •Assess, plan and treat highly complex cases involving advanced restorative dentistry; refer to external specialists when appropriate.
  • •Develop preventative strategies through health education and maintain the highest standards of care and clinical practice.
  • •Supervise dental hygienists and dental nurses: prescribe treatments, assess/audit their work, and provide performance review input and constructive feedback.
  • •Ensure strict compliance with regulations and best practice areas including ionising radiation, cross-infection control, hazardous materials handling, and clinic health and safety.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree from BDS, DMD, BChD or similar dental degree from a recognised European, Australasian, North American or equivalent university dental school.
  • •Qualifications acceptable to the Government of Dubai Department of Health for registration and licensing.
  • •Minimum 10 years postgraduate experience in general dental practice.
  • •Adhere to the minimum annual CPD requirement of the licensing body in Dubai and overseas.
  • •Have dental registration in a European, North American, Australasian or equivalent country (preferred).
