Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and continuously enhance the Bermuda Risk framework, including CISSA, SBA governance, and EBS risk considerations, ensuring model integrity, accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to evaluate and critique assumptions, methodologies, and modeling approaches across ALM, valuation, pricing, capital and stress testing.
  • •Develop and deliver meeting materials for the SBA Committee, Board of Directors, senior executives, executive committees, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • •Carry out risk assessments for new reinsurance transactions and material business initiatives against risk appetite, capital requirements, and regulatory standards and provide risk recommendations.
  • •Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor on Bermuda regulatory frameworks, internal risk policies, model governance, and capital implications, including Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) engagement or Board-level oversight.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or any quantitative field
  • •A Fellow of a widely recognized actuarial body with FSA or FIA preferred
  • •7+ years’ experience working in the life insurance industry, preferably in annuities
  • •Proficient in the MS Office suite and at least one programming language
  • •Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage several projects
