Perform analysis and research to support private fund investments (private debt, real estate) within AIM US Investment Management, coordinating with portfolio allocators and cross-functional teams to assess value, risk, liquidity, and implementation of new strategies in a hybrid work setup.

Key Responsibilities

•Complete asset class research, financial modeling and due diligence with particular focus on private debt and commercial real estate debt funds.
•Prepare asset class reports and assist in quarterly fund reviews; support investment narratives within AIM and external stakeholders.
•Collaborate with portfolio allocators on investment recommendations within real estate and private debt sub-sectors, considering strategic asset allocation, liquidity and returns.
•Coordinate cross-functionally and support manager selection, due diligence, legal document review and operational execution for new strategies.
•Identify new Impact investment opportunities spanning affordable housing, renewable energy generation and distribution, and collaborate with the broader AIM team on fit and implementation.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2-3 years of relevant investment experience at an insurance company, asset manager or bank; demonstrated skills in alternative assets research and analysis.
•Advanced experience in Excel and financial modeling; coding experience a plus.
•Experience with structured investment solutions like rated notes, collateralized debt, and credit enhancement.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills (story-telling ability with market and portfolio data).
•Relevant investment systems experience for alternative assets modeling (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin, Preqin or CapitalIQ).
