Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines in Samsara's central data lake using SparkSQL and PySpark. •Build and maintain highly reliable computed tables by integrating data from multiple sources, including unstructured data like video/audio and device data
•Access, manipulate, and integrate external datasets with internal data
•Deliver high-quality data with uptime and reliability requirements, including customer-facing data sets
•Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, AI/ML, and other Data Engineers to support causal inference, model training, and dashboards
•Promote Samsara’s cultural principles and work effectively in a global, cross-functional team

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 119,595 - 201,000 annually

•BA / MS in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
•4+ years experience in a data engineering role
•Experience designing data models at scale
•Proficiency in building ETL pipelines for large data volumes
•Experience with Spark-based data platforms and a data orchestration tool (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
