Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, implement, and optimize image/video compression algorithms across formats such as 2D, multiview, 360-degree video, point clouds, and light fields.
  • •Design and implement novel algorithms for file formats, system components, and transport protocols.
  • •Research and develop image/video processing and objective matrices for subjective quality evaluation.
  • •Participate in standards work across forums including MPEG, DASH, 3GPP, JVET, and AVS and follow relevant state-of-the-art developments.
  • •Draft standard contributions, patent applications, and academic papers.

Key Requirements

  • •Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • •Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem-solving skills.
  • •Published papers in academic conferences or journals in the relevant subject area.
  • •Demonstrated experience and interest in multimedia standards (image/video compression, file formats, systems, transport).
  • •Familiarity with C/C++ and strong teamwork and communication skills.
