Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide professional, ethical quality clinical services to neonatal patients in an effective and efficient manner.
  • •Perform professional neonatology duties including assessment/reassessment, daily NICU/nursery rounds, examinations/procedures, diagnosis, medication prescribing, and preventive measures.
  • •Provide inpatient newborn care and attend difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveries.
  • •Offer consultation/referral services and serve as an expert in neonatology to other medical services; provide on-call emergency coverage for neonatal emergencies.
  • •Maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with clinical governance/quality management standards, and participate in committees, training, guideline development, and quality assurance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3-5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP) with eligibility for healthcare authority registration (e.g., Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or equivalent).
