Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with grain origination by procuring grain from local producers and calling on new accounts.
  • •Observe and learn working with producers, including updating them on market trends, grain quotes, and grain programs to form marketing plans.
  • •Help with reporting and typing purchasing contracts accurately and quickly.
  • •Assist with rail billing and grain sales settlements as needed.
  • •Coordinate with elevator and office staff to exchange information and support an effective flow of grain.

  • •Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other agriculture-related degree program.
  • •Be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
  • •Have agriculture/crop/grain experience or background knowledge (helpful).

  • •Ability to work with producers, accounts, and patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
