Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop robust insights and data narratives using Airbnb’s data to define metrics and recommend actions for Fraud & Safety business and product leaders.
  • •Build advanced analytical capabilities, including data modeling for entities such as customers, hosts, cases, agents, and others.
  • •Execute investigations and root-cause analysis across operational areas (e.g., policy incubation, enforcement efficacy, prevalence, efficiency, agent tooling and staffing).
  • •Create metric frameworks and optimization models to support product, operations, and policy decisions across global sites and business verticals.
  • •Partner with DS/engineering to support ML-driven automation for policy enforcement and enqueue complex cases for manual review, while experimenting with policy/product features to manage risk.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of industry experience and an advanced degree in Business Analytics or a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
  • •Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-cultural, cross-functional teams with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Proven track record delivering end-to-end data projects from inception to business impact.
  • •Advanced proficiency in SQL/NoSQL and programming languages such as Python, R, and SAS, plus data foundations/databases including Presto, Hive, Teradata, and Spark.
  • •Advanced statistical and machine learning skills, with experience using Tableau (or similar BI) to build reports and dashboards.
