Key Responsibilities

  • •Own mechanical architecture and integration of the closed nitrogen Brayton loop from cycle state points through installed hardware, commissioning, and test.
  • •Review and coordinate work with the PCS Mechanical Design Engineer and PCS Thermal-Mechanical Engineer.
  • •Deliver a mechanical arrangement that meets performance requirements while supporting maintainability and life requirements in collaboration with electrical, analysis, turbomachinery, and program management.
  • •Own the system P&ID, interface control, and integrated system model; drive alignment across owners of turbomachinery, electrical/controls, thermal/fluids, and recuperator/PHX.
  • •Define design criteria and verification/validation test plans, and manage PCS thermo-mechanical performance trade-offs with cost, schedule, and risk.

Salary: USD 115,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of full-cycle design engineering experience including hands-on CAD, analysis, build, and test.
  • •Design, size, and integrate fluid systems, preferably involving compressible flow.
  • •Design pressure-retaining or leak-tight systems and complete pressure/leak verification.
  • •Integrate multiple subsystems into a working assembly, owning interfaces between them.
  • •Comfort owning integration decisions while component owners optimize their own pieces.
