Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct comprehensive assessments with immigrant families to identify needs and barriers and connect them to appropriate services.
  • •Assist asylum-seeking families with public benefits (e.g., Medicaid, All Kids, VTTC, WIC) and help them understand how to access them.
  • •Orient participants to the healthcare system, including making appointments, arranging transportation, and communicating key information to physicians.
  • •Provide education and orientation to families about their new surroundings in the city of Chicago; help schedule and attend appointments with social service and medical providers.
  • •Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records; participate in department meetings and program trainings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23 - 25 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Provide case management and assessments for asylum-seeking immigrant families.
  • •Mature and personal Christian faith and commitment to World Relief’s mission, vision, and values.
  • •Valid drivers license with access to a reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards; willing to drive a minivan and/or 15-passenger van.
  • •Bilingual ability is preferred (Spanish or Arabic) to meet client/community needs.
  • •Experience or training working with traumatized populations or trauma-informed care, with strong mediation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
