Own product performance optimization by identifying key drivers of target metrics and applying modeling tools to make predictions. Key Responsibilities

•Identify fundamental factors driving desired product performance metrics and use modeling tools for optimization and predictions.
•Analyze experimental tests and data with strong technical rigor; design tests and test plans aligned to customer performance experience.
•Write scripts and use Excel/Minitab to build predictive models and recommend approaches based on technical suitability.
•Evaluate performance-impacting requirements and balance complex system interactions to recommend factors best for customers and Dyson goals.
•Collaborate with project teams, document work clearly, communicate results to stakeholders, and propose design mitigations to achieve performance targets.

Key Requirements

•At least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
•Ideally 2+ years’ experience in product design and development (less experience may be considered).
•Strong engineering fundamentals with measurement analysis and statistical analysis.
•Competency in Minitab, MATLAB, Excel, or other data acquisition/processing tools.
•Some experience with CAD/CAE tools and preferred statistical modeling (e.g., multiple regression).
