Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify fundamental factors driving desired product performance metrics and use modeling tools for optimization and predictions.
  • •Analyze experimental tests and data with strong technical rigor; design tests and test plans aligned to customer performance experience.
  • •Write scripts and use Excel/Minitab to build predictive models and recommend approaches based on technical suitability.
  • •Evaluate performance-impacting requirements and balance complex system interactions to recommend factors best for customers and Dyson goals.
  • •Collaborate with project teams, document work clearly, communicate results to stakeholders, and propose design mitigations to achieve performance targets.

Key Requirements

  • •At least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • •Ideally 2+ years’ experience in product design and development (less experience may be considered).
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals with measurement analysis and statistical analysis.
  • •Competency in Minitab, MATLAB, Excel, or other data acquisition/processing tools.
  • •Some experience with CAD/CAE tools and preferred statistical modeling (e.g., multiple regression).
