Job Summary

Install and troubleshoot audio-visual systems for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including running low-voltage cabling, terminating connections, and performing rack fabrication and wiring. Lead installation crews on smaller projects, interpret schematics and blueprints, and oversee Level 1 technicians’ work quality. Serve as an on-site customer liaison, coordinate change requests, communicate daily status to the Project Manager, and collaborate with other trades while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment and component installation, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects while coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints; oversee Level 1 technicians’ quality of work.
•Test point-to-point cabling, verify functionality of systems, and track/manage/secure tools and equipment on the jobsite.
•Act as customer liaison on site, communicate daily status to the Project Manager, coordinate on-site change requests, and travel to required job sites.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
•Intermediate ability installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) with conduit runs and cable trays.
•Intermediate ability diagnosing and resolving audiovisual equipment and systems issues, including understanding network infrastructure integration (IP-based, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Valid driver’s license and ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently; lead small site teams.
