Job Summary

Own cost accounting, inventory valuation, audit readiness, and cost-process improvement for a growing confectionery manufacturing and wholesale business. Lead standard costing, BOM accuracy, labor/overhead absorption, variance analysis, and margin/gross-profit reporting by product, channel, and customer. Partner with operations to automate order-to-cash workflows, manage inventory controls and reserves, support annual external audits, and deliver weekly scorecard and month-end variance commentary.

Key Responsibilities

•Improve processes across cost, inventory, and order-to-cash by standardizing, documenting, and automating to remove manual effort and errors.
•Own standard costing and inventory valuation, including BOM accuracy, labor and overhead absorption, and variance analysis (PPV, usage, yield).
•Produce margin and gross-profit reporting by product, channel, and customer and analyze wholesale pricing and manufacturing costs to support decisions.
•Maintain fixed assets and lease schedules, including roll-forwards.
•Support external audits and keep the business audit-ready year-round; manage inventory controls, cycle counts, and reserves for slow-turn and dead stock.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•2+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing or wholesale environment.
•Public accounting audit experience (Big 4 or regional firm) is highly preferred.
•Hands-on standard costing and inventory accounting expertise, including BOM accuracy, labor/overhead absorption, and variance analysis.
•Strong GAAP knowledge and the ability to apply it in a mid-market, resource-lean environment.
•Advanced Excel and ERP experience; Sage is highly preferred, with CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
