Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and validate automated test systems (hardware and software) for laser die LIV characterization and Burn-In testing at wafer level.
  • •Develop test software to control optical and electrical instrumentation including SMUs, optical power meters, spectrometers, and thermal controllers.
  • •Design and optimize test fixtures, probe cards, and optical coupling interfaces for high-throughput, repeatable wafer-level testing.
  • •Collaborate with Optical Design, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams to support high-yield, high-reliability laser components for next-generation optical technologies.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant major.
  • •3+ years of hands-on experience in optoelectronic device testing, especially semiconductor lasers (DFB, EML, VCSEL, or Silicon Photonics).
  • •Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment including SMUs, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, integrating spheres, photodetectors, and temperature controllers (TECs).
  • •Strong understanding of semiconductor laser physics, optical waveguides, and reliability physics (degradation mechanisms, Arrhenius acceleration models).
  • •Proficiency in automated test software development using Python or LabVIEW and experience with wafer probers and optical alignment algorithms.
