Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide guidance with collecting, identifying, and compiling hydrologic and hydraulic data for analysis.
  • •Lead and support drainage and stormwater design, including roadway drainage, flood channels, detention/retention basins, culvert/bridge hydraulics, outfalls, and urban stormwater systems.
  • •Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and coordinate modeling and design approvals for code compliance and QA/QC.
  • •Prepare comprehensive technical drainage reports that document research, findings, and recommendations for stormwater management.
  • •Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and support mentorship for junior engineers, including QA/QC for modeling/design deliverables and participation in client and agency coordination.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering focused on Water Resources (or closely related).
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering.
  • •Nevada Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
  • •Experience supporting project management activities including scope development, coordination, schedules, and budgets.
  • •Proficiency with surface water analysis and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., TR-55, HEC-1, HEC-HMS; HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS-2D) and CADD software (Autodesk, ArcGIS).
