Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.
  • •Leverage technologies such as PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, and Lightning to find insights in large volumes of numeric and textual data.
  • •Build AI foundation models across development phases: design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • •Conduct high-impact applied research to move the latest AI developments into next-generation customer experiences.
  • •Lead cross-functional research threads that connect prototype model development with ML engineering partners to drive production impact.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 262,500 - 299,600 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields, with an exception to be completed by the scheduled start date plus 2 years of Applied Research experience.
  • •Or has an MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields plus 4 years of Applied Research experience.
  • •Hands-on experience developing AI foundation models and solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
  • •Experience building large deep learning models (e.g., language, images, events, or graphs) and expertise in areas such as training optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, explainability, or RLHF.
  • •Ability to own and pursue a research agenda, including selecting impactful research problems and running long-running projects.
  • •Possess a deep understanding of AI methodologies and demonstrate a track record of high-quality ML ideas or improvements (e.g., first-author publications or projects).
