Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce municipal civil design drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, grading, and cross-sections
  • •Develop designs for road reconstruction/rehabilitation, intersection improvements, curb and sidewalk works, accessible pedestrian ramps, and active transportation facilities
  • •Design water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems, including pipe networks, service connections, and appurtenances, with required calculations and analysis
  • •Compile and review existing records (as-builts, survey data, utility records) to establish base plans and identify/resolve utility conflicts
  • •Support construction phases by attending site visits, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, inspecting sites, and assisting with progress claims and change documentation

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a two-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized institution
  • •Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or as an AScT / C.Tech. with ASTTBC
  • •2+ years of municipal civil design experience in a consulting or municipal environment (relevant co-op and internship terms count toward this)
  • •Working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • •Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence and access to a vehicle
