Job Summary

Build and support full-stack, data-intensive applications that power PayPal’s payment platforms. You’ll design scalable backend services with low latency, develop and protect APIs, and monitor distributed systems for availability, reliability, and performance. •Define, design, implement, test, release, roll out, and support full-stack software applications.
•Develop scalable, data-intensive applications and high-volume backend services with low latency.
•Monitor and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems; implement monitoring, automated remediation, and performance analytics.
•Work with engineers and PMs across multiple teams to gather requirements, design and maintain features, and contribute to technical direction while mentoring others.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation (or Bachelor’s plus 6 years).
•4+ years designing, developing, and operating large-scale, data-intensive backend systems and APIs in production.
•4+ years building front-end user interfaces with JavaScript frameworks such as React.
•4+ years owning features across the full software development lifecycle using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
•4+ years deploying and supporting production systems on public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
