Key Responsibilities

  • •Own rack power architecture and requirements for high-power AI supercomputing systems, including power budgets, interfaces, DC distribution, redundancy, efficiency, serviceability, and data center integration.
  • •Design and drive supplier development of power shelves, rectifiers, PSUs, PMCs, busbars, connectors, and protection circuits; review electrical designs and evaluate trade-offs in performance, cost, reliability, and availability.
  • •Define and execute component/shelf/rack qualification plans for transients, current sharing, hot-swap, sequencing, redundancy failover, fault protection/recovery, thermal limits, and AC disturbances/ride-through.
  • •Partner with firmware and software teams to define and validate PMC functionality, telemetry, alarms, power sequencing, power capping, and fault handling; verify communications and regression coverage.
  • •Monitor fleet rack power health, analyze telemetry and failure trends, and lead lab and fleet debugging to reproduce failures, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions and remediation.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of industry experience in power electronics or power delivery systems, including hands-on design and qualification of high-power rack or data center power systems.
  • •Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of AC/DC rectifiers, power shelves, PSUs, and DC distribution (three-phase inputs, conversion topologies, control-loop stability, current sharing, redundancy, and protection coordination).
  • •Experience defining and qualifying PMCs/power controllers, including telemetry, fault management, hardware–firmware integration, and interfaces such as PMBus, I²C, CAN, or Ethernet.
  • •Strong laboratory and debugging skills (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, programmable AC sources, electronic loads, data acquisition) plus ability to automate tests and analyze telemetry (e.g., with Python).
