Job Summary

Design and architect a unified, greenfield build platform that delivers compatible AMD GPU stack releases by treating firmware, kernel driver, and ROCm as a single source-of-truth deliverable. Lead migration of distributed firmware build recipes into the super-build, create automation to keep a large multi-repo ecosystem in sync, and set up reproducible dev environments to unblock new engineers. Use agentic AI workflows to accelerate high-volume engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

•Make foundational architecture decisions for the greenfield super-build, including structure and dependency resolution across 65+ firmware components, the kernel driver, and ROCm.
•Lead firmware recipe migration into the unified build, reverse-engineering existing scattered CI builds and converting recipes using AI-assisted workflows.
•Design repo automation for a large super-repo by mapping the repo landscape, defining submodule/manifest architecture, and keeping versions in sync.
•Stand up replicable, documented machine setups to unblock new team members by addressing network access, firewall, and cloud quota constraints.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of software engineering experience with deep focus on build systems.
•Strong hands-on coding ability for an IC lead role.
•Expert-level knowledge of build tools (CMake, Ninja, Bazel, or equivalent) and build system design at scale.
•Experience with packaging, host dependency management, and toolchain configuration.
•Strong understanding of version control and dependency management at scale (git submodules, manifest-driven workflows, etc.).
