Job Summary

Geotechnical Engineer responsible for designing and delivering civil/geotechnical solutions across transportation, municipal, and building projects in Ontario. You’ll manage geotechnical investigations, write reports and proposals, coordinate with drafting teams, and mentor junior staff while traveling within Canada to support projects in a hybrid, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and reporting for transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects; ensure on-time delivery and quality.
•Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and drafters from conceptual design through final design.
•Prepare proposals and write geotechnical reports for varying project scopes and maintain high standards of documentation.
•Coordinate with drafting teams and external subcontractors; manage field activities including drilling and traffic control coordination.
•Travel within Canada as required and contribute to growth of the geotechnical practice in Canada.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 83,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

•University degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; currently registered as an Engineer (P.Eng)
•4+ years of industry experience in civil/geotechnical engineering across transportation, municipal, energy, utilities, building structures, and commercial projects
•Strong commitment to safety
•Proficiency with geotechnical software (PLAXIS, RS2/RS3, Slide, GeoStudio, Settle3D, All Piles, gINT)
•Construction oversight and QA/QC experience; ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with drafting teams
