Job Summary

Lead the origination of residential mortgage loans by managing a team of Mortgage Loan Originators and driving sales and cross-selling outcomes. Recruit, onboard, coach, and train MLOs, develop business plans, and review KPIs and production results. Build referral partnerships with realtors and builders, partner with Fulfillment Operations to improve closed volume, and monitor operational, risk, and compliance issues to protect customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate and manage residential mortgage loan production for Financial Centers and outside referrals, meeting sales and cross-selling objectives.
•Manage day-to-day performance of Mortgage Loan Originators, including structuring loans, pricing, marketing dollar investment, and MLO utilization.
•Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and train loan officers; facilitate business plan development and conduct regular business plan reviews.
•Develop referral source relationships and business relationships with Financial Center personnel to drive volume growth in the assigned area.
•Monitor operational, risk, and compliance issues and loan quality standards; act as intermediary for loan issues with processing and underwriting managers.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED equivalent; two- or four-year college degree preferred.
•3–5 years of residential mortgage sales experience required.
•In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio mortgage guidelines.
•In-depth knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required.
