Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plastics processing and auxiliary equipment, including injection molding machines, extrusion lines, thermoforms, conveyors, chillers, and robotics/automated systems.
  • •Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality/throughput.
  • •Operate, monitor, and maintain utility assets (air compressors, chilled/process water systems, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, plant air dryers), including inspections, rounds, alarms, and logged readings.
  • •Execute daily building start-up/shutdown checklists, secure utilities, document issues, and prepare equipment for the next shift with safety systems verification.
  • •Complete technical diagnostics and documentation (drawings, schematics, manuals, RCA, CMMS work orders) while complying with OSHA safety programs and supporting ISO/quality/environmental initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing; plastics or high-speed production experience preferred.
  • •Proven experience maintaining utility systems (compressed air, chilled/process water, pumps) and performing carpentry/building maintenance.
  • •Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, VFDs, servos, and robotics/automation with intermediate troubleshooting capability.
  • •Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals; strong troubleshooting and documentation discipline.
