Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete ERIE’s 24-week district sales manager training program and assigned projects independently.
  • •Apply product knowledge to assist operations in assigned agent offices, including training agents on product knowledge, underwriting, agency operations, and sales.
  • •Coach and support independent agents to achieve business goals and manage territory performance across sales, underwriting, profitability, and agency management.
  • •Recruit, train, and develop new agents while serving as a trusted business partner and ERIE product resource.
  • •Participate in claim-related and policyholder/agent inquiries and assist with inspection-related risk reporting and loss measures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required; or associate’s degree plus two years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience; or high school diploma/GED plus four years of relevant experience.
  • •Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • •Willingness to relocate to an assigned territory and reside within it.
  • •Frequent travel required.
  • •Completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams is required to complete the training program; willingness to pursue insurance designations required.
