Key Responsibilities

  • •Enable USB IP, Power Delivery, and Retimer features on the latest AMD client and gaming systems.
  • •Debug systems/hardware/software USB failures using protocol analyzers, software tools, and test devices.
  • •Define system requirements (board, software, retimer, power delivery) based on USB interface specifications.
  • •Review USB internal and external technical specifications to create feature lists and testing methods for pre/post-silicon environments.
  • •Interface with AMD and external power delivery/retimer/device vendors to enable, debug, and root-cause USB failures; collaborate across multi-functional teams to implement requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong development background and problem-solving mentality with the ability to prioritize tasks and learn/adapt quickly.
  • •Experience enabling/debugging systems and proven systems enablement debug experience.
  • •Hands-on experience analyzing high-speed protocol traces for USB, DisplayPort, and USB.
  • •Skilled in scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, and Shell script.
  • •Proficient with computer architecture and x86 systems architecture, including ability to review/debug/modify C/C++ based firmware and review circuit schematics.
