  • •Design and implement scalable systems and services that form the foundation of Alpaca’s platform.
  • •Build and maintain a modern global payments and treasury platform using highly scalable, event-driven architectures.
  • •Collaborate to define goals and deliver quality solutions with strong engineering fundamentals.
  • •Improve system integrity, resilience, and technical/operational scalability across global markets.
  • •Develop and troubleshoot distributed systems, including understanding payment lifecycle concepts and payment-related domain requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3 years building and maintaining systems at scale, with strong problem-solving and proactive ownership.
  • •Proven experience building and maintaining microservices and client-facing APIs.
  • •Strong coding skills in Go, with ability to write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
  • •Experience with domain-driven design and event-driven design, plus debugging skills to foresee and prevent issues.
  • •Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes and container/orchestration technologies, cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud), messaging queues, and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
