Key Responsibilities

  • •Fabricate tables, workstations, carts, tool stands, and mistake-proofing devices to improve safety, quality, and cost.
  • •Modify existing equipment to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • •Ensure improvement solutions meet Trane/OSHA safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
  • •Support Kaizen events with multifunctional team members to drive continuous improvement.
  • •Maintain shop safety and cleanliness while assisting operations teams with problem-solving issues affecting goal attainment.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to build NIS material part racks and work with basic mechanical tools for fabrication and general mechanical repair.
  • •Experience as a builder, mechanic, fabricator, welder, machinist, or other related position.

  • •Good logic for understanding and solving problems in a manufacturing setting.
  • •Ability to work as a team player and view problems from multiple angles to find simple, effective solutions.
